Oh David by David Shannon

I have two books by David Shannon both about a little boy named David. I love these books. They represent how silly kids can be and some of the classic stuff they do (of course we can laugh about it now). David is a typical little boy who gets into everything and has a hard time listening. In this one David gets a stinky diaper (who hasn't been there?), won't hold still to get his pajamas on and when he finally gets them on he won't go to sleep. The best part about the David books is that no matter what happens in the book at the very end his mother tells him she loves him. The underlying theme is that no matter what you do moms will always love you. Now I do have to make one comment, as much as I love these books my husband is not a huge fan. He thinks the art work is lacking.
