I think that I've already written about this book and wrote that I didn't really think it was great. Apparently to an adult this book was just ordinary but to a 20 month old it's the best thing since solid food. She has actually picked up words from this book, which is impressive. One of the opposites are quiet and loud. When I read the books to her I use voice inflection, now when I pull out the book she instantly says quiet (quietly of course) and then yells loud. Which is very endearing, unless it's in the middle of church. She also has learned the words open, coming, and going. The pictures are simplistic but they express the words very well. Children should learn from this book.
I just reread my last post on this book. I said that I wouldn't buy another one of Olivia's books but based on my child's love of Olivia I most likely will buy another one. (Funny how kids change our view on things) I also said that it would help children with their vocabulary, ironically I got to see this happen first hand.
